Volunteer Link-Up (West Oxon) also runs three in-house projects, which include:

Community transport - Volunteer Link-Up (West Oxon) volunteer drivers provide transport in their own cars for members of the public who are unable to use public transport, or for those living in rural areas where it is not available, to hospitals, day centres, health centres, clinics and other activities.

Befriending - Volunteer Link-Up (West Oxon) volunteer befrienders visit and support elderly people, people with special needs, those suffering with depression, agoraphobia, heart disease, strokes, arthritis, visual impairment or other difficulties. Doing the shopping for, or taking elderly or disabled people shopping or on outings. Working with families, single parents, teenagers with behavioural and emotional problems and children and adults with learning disabilities. Every client’s needs are unique and we match volunteers’ abilities with clients’ needs.

Practical Tasks - Volunteer Link-Up (West Oxon) volunteers do garden tidying, lawn mowing, basic decorating and small DIY tasks for elderly and disabled people on low incomes.

Expenses (mileage or bus fares) are paid to volunteers who provide these services.

We want to hear from you! Contact us to see how we can help you or your organisation - in person, by telephone, by email. A one-to-one confidential interview can be arranged by appointment.
